  The National Weather Service, in March issued an El Niño advisory. The advisory stated that the phenomenon is 90 % likely to last through the summer of 2015 and at least 80 percent likely to continue through the end of the year.    The price of coffee could increase by 107 percent, with the weather effects of a strong El Nino  although others said the average increase typically ranged from 5 to 10 %.   During an El Niño event, waters in the Equatorial Pacific Ocean become warmer than what would be considered as normal as trade winds are lighter, changing what would be thought of as normal weather patterns around the world.     Heavy rains and flooding in the southern U.S. and parts of Latin America, along with droughts in Australia and Asia, would be likely. The recent heavy rain in drought stricken north Texas and Oklahoma  would seem to be a fulfillment of this prediction. ...

  You clean the out side of your k-cup machine. So how are you cleaning the inside...or are you?   This is just one way to help keep the inside of your coffee maker as clean as the outside.   You’ll need cleaning wipes, a paper clip, and distilled white vinegar. Use the wipes to clean the front of the machine, especially the handle. The paper clip can get those hard to reach spots inside the pod holder. Then fill the water reservoir with the vinegar. Run the machine, to flush the vinegar out. The acidity in the vinegar will kill the bacteria without harming you. Once the vinegar is out of the reservoir, let the machine sit for four hours. After four hours, fill the reservoir with water and run it about four times to flush out the rest of the vinegar.

  A study done by the University of Illinois says that drinking up to three cups of coffee one hour before a strong work out has benefits.   Reduced perceived pain during and after the work out is just one. Caffeine helps to block Adenosine. A compound your body makes when you have inflammation due to exercise. Making it just a little easer to go that extra mile in that work out.   An increased alertness is one more. This increase give a person the focus that improves your determination to achieve your exercise bench marks. Some study's have demonstrated that pro athletes perform above their base line levels when they consume coffee shorty before they compete in their selected sport.   

You just spilled a very hot cup of coffee on your lap. What do you do?  Well it depends. If your are a North Carolina police officer you have your wife drive you home to take pictures of the effected part of your body.  Then you drive back to the police station to get you truck and then after a time laps of over 2 hours go to an urgent care center.  Sounds reasonable. NOT..... As of this posting the jury is still debating on what if any liability Starbuck's has in this case. But what inquiring minds want to know is. When will the pictures the police officer took  be on the net?  

Keurig cries uncle.  With consumers raising hell over the Keurig 2.0 scheme and sales of the new Keurig 2.0 started sinking faster than the Titanic did. Keurig gives in and says it will cave to consumers and discontinue it's practice of it's coffee makes only excepting Keurig approved K-cups.  Now what? Well Keurig has a lot of consumer anger to mollify. The Keurig scheme was nothing short of a consumer rip off  by a heartless greedy corporation. With a cost approaching $50.00 a pound in the approved K-cups. Calling it a rip off is being mild.  It is obvious that the powers that be at Keurig  see their costumers only as a    revenue source. Not as people wanting a good product at a reasonable cost. Bottom line..... drop dead Keurig. You are a day late and a dollar short.  

First it is the grapes used then how the grapes are fermented and aged.   The color is in large part a result of the color of the grape's skin. Red grapes, red wine White grapes, white wine. Remove the grape skin and there is little difference in the color of the red or white grapes. Both are for the most part white inside.  When fermented, the additional pressing that red grapes receive releases the tannins and colors into the wine giving red wines their color and flavors of red wines.   After fermentation, Red wines are matured and conditioned in oak barrels for several months or longer.  The longer time the wine is in a barrel the deeper the color is likely to be However to long in the ageing barrel can be Bad news for any wine. This is from the typical 4 minute weight time at your local Starbucks today.  Perhaps Starbucks could make a marked decrease in the time from when your orders is places to in your hand would be if Starbucks would have a coffee only lane. Let the people who want the more labor and time consuming drinks have the longer weight time.
